For after hours public health emergencies or to report a class A communicable disease, please call the Columbiana County Sheriff's office at 330-424-7255 and the on-call 24/7 public health official will be contacted.

Our Mission Statement

To contribute to the present and future health of persons living in the Columbiana County General Health District through the provision of personal and environmental health services and by the performance of activities which deal with the prevention of illness.

Areas of concern include communicable disease, chronic disease, and health promotion. Epidemiological investigations, immunizations, STD control, and health education are provided. Services are provided in both clinic and home settings. All sanitary laws and regulations are enforced to protect the community.

Concerns relating to chronic disease are specifically addressed through programs that focus on prevention, identification and detection of early signs of disease, referral, and health care continuity.

Other services include:

  1. Cancer screenings and education
  2. Blood pressure screening
  3. TB testing

Who Can Utilize the Services of the Health Department?

You and every other citizen of the Columbiana County General Health District can and should take advantage of the services available through the Columbiana County Health Department. In accordance with Title VI, no person shall be excluded from participation in/or be denied the benefits of or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity the Columbiana County Health Department offers.
